“And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.”
-God

This blog ministry is on three social media platforms. One of which shall remain nameless. They promote themselves as warriors for free speech. Their color theme is green. They have a thing for frogs. There are many patriots, conservatives, and supposed Christians. The Left hates this platform. They refer to the owner and it’s participants as “racist bigots” and “antisemitics”. Now, we all know that such labels do not mean much these days. Anyone that does not agree with The Left automatically has these titles bestowed upon them regardless of belief, skin tone, and nationality. Sadly, though, The Left gets this one right. Many of these supposed “Christians” complain that the problems of this world fall at the feet of one people group. That they have somehow orchestrated the slow demise and rot of humanity. Many have sided with Hamas throughout the current struggle in the Middle East. Many would love to see Israel wiped from the surface of the earth. Some have even put Hitler onto a pedestal and praised his attempt to destroy them. Many claim that God has discarded them into the wasteland of the pagans because of their rejection of The Lamb. These people that profess “Christ”. Even the owner of this platform wears the crown of guilt on his head. It is appalling to see these people carry a swastika in the shadow of The Cross. So the question that begs to be asked is this:
What do we do with those pesky Jews?
“The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”
-Moses, to the nation of Israel
The Chosen Ones
What does it mean that Israel is God’s “chosen”? Many will state that they were chosen simply for the lineage of Christ. That God’s plan was to keep them holy and undefiled that The Messiah would not be born into pagan culture. This is certainly true. Imagine if you will that Mary and Joseph spent their evenings bowing to pagan gods and had turned their backs from the One True God. It would have been a turning that spanned many generations beforehand because without God’s providence they would have been quick to push Him further and further away until he was folklore among many other gods such as Dagon and Molech.
Ultimately our purpose as believers is to glorify God. To be a reflection of who He is. It goes beyond being created in His image, as is such for both believers and unbelievers. We are to be a peculiar people. Holy and set apart from the world and the influences that it brings around us. Our lives are to be an example of a living, loving, and gracious God. Israel, like so, was set apart from the world around them. Strict and odd dietary requirements. Garment restrictions. A Sabbath day of rest. Circumcision. All examples of what divided them from the surrounding pagans. Aside from the physical came with it the spiritual, for the two naturally go hand in hand. The neighboring nations bore witness to this in the devotion of the Jews. They also witnessed miraculous works such as the parting of the Red Sea, the sun setting still for a victorious battle, and a fire consumed sacrifice of a soaking wet bull. Victorious battles, pillars of smoke and fire, men walking from a furnace, the shutting of lions mouths, men slain by a donkey’s jawbone, and one giant laying defeated with a stone in his skull. It was evident that God was the god of Israel. He became legend among the lips of these pagans because of His works. The holy lineage of The Savior was a reason for God choosing Israel. Yes. But it isn’t the only reason. He did not choose them for any particular reason or qualification on their part. But because He chose them as a conduit to a savior and an example of His greatness. Grace and Providence defined.
“However, God’s reason for choosing the nation of Israel was not solely for the purpose of producing the Messiah. God’s desire for Israel was that they would go and teach others about Him. Israel was to be a nation of priests, prophets, and missionaries to the world. God’s intent was for Israel to be a distinct people, a nation who pointed others towards God and His promised provision of a Redeemer, Messiah, and Savior. For the most part, Israel failed in this task. However, God’s ultimate purpose for Israel—that of bringing the Messiah into the world—was fulfilled perfectly in the Person of Jesus Christ.”

Salvation
“Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.”
-John the Baptist

One point of confusion and contention within our modern church is the current standing of Israel with God. Some say that they are discarded and forgotten. Some say that they are His still chosen nation. However, that is as far as it goes. They are no longer the holy example that God desires. Even though many may be devout in Judaism and adhere to their laws and customs, it is now Christians that is to be the holy example that shows the world who God is. Because we have faith in Christ and His sacrificial work on The Cross. Salvation is the primary goal. Christians are saved by The Gospel because they have accepted Jesus. Jews are not saved because they have rejected The Messiah. The foundation is salvation by faith. Not works.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
-The Apostle Paul, to The Church at Ephesus
One may say “Wait! How can you say such a thing?” We need to note that there is ample evidence that the Jews are not saved. First, The Apostles were instructed to share The Gospel with the Jews first and then the Gentiles. Second, in the upper room the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, sealing them at the point of salvation. These disciples were Jewish. Third, Jesus said that no one comes to The Father except through belief in Him and His atonement on The Cross. Jews have rejected Christ as The Messiah. If the Jews were already saved because of their lineage and who they are as a chosen nation, then there would be no need to preach The Gospel to them. The instruction to The Apostles would have been to only go to the Gentiles. Also this would refute the words of Christ and make Him a liar, because there would in fact be another way to The Father besides Him.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
-Jesus Christ
Fourth, in the book of Revelation we see the salvation of 144,000 in Heaven. Many theologians and biblical scholars believe that these people are in fact Jews that have come to Christ after the rapture. Twelve thousand from the 12 tribes of Israel. Is this number an accurate count or a representative number in John’s vision? I will not speculate. However, the number is great and vast. One may say “But there are more than 144,000 Jewish people!” That is true. Naturally, there will be many Jews that will hold on to their prideful traditions and ignorance that Jesus was not The Messiah but was nothing more than a good teacher. They will still stand in the shadow of His second coming, awaiting another King David from Bethlehem to save them from Roman oppression. But there will be some that, with eyes fixed upon The Christ as neighbors vanish, will come to the realization that they were wrong. That their entire legacy has rejected Salvation. They will fall in repentance, begging for forgiveness towards the skies. Additionally, if Jews are automatically saved because of their lineage and being “chosen”, then none would be left behind. All would enter into the gates of Heaven. From the devout Jew, to the apostate, to the one that chose atheism and has rejected Yahweh as a whole. This would be far greater than 144,000.
“Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.”
-Revelation 7:4
So no. Jews are not saved and will never be unless they lay down their traditional teachings of another David and accept that Jesus is the true Messiah.
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
-Acts 4:12
What Do We Do With Them?
As mentioned before, there are many professing Christians that blame the Jews for everything that is wrong with this world. Like Hamas, they too would love to see Israel wiped from the face of the earth. Trust me. I’ve seen the posts and the comments. Their reasoning is simply because they have rejected Christ and the New Covenant, therefore God has rejected them as a nation. Christians are the true “Israel”. But we can deduct from this argument that their reasoning is rooted not in theology, but simple hatred. They do not call for the eradication of atheists and pagans. They do not call for the end to Buddhists. They do not attribute the evils of this world to wicked actors and corrupt men in power. They lay the blame at the feet of the Jews.

No matter what one may believe regarding the standing of Israel with God, true Christians do not desire the eradication of any one. Individual or nation. It is true that anyone that has rejected the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not saved and will not enter into Heaven apart from repentance or belief. Atheists, agnostics, pagans, Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, etc. There is only one Way to atone for our sins. The Cross. However, to pray for their destruction is counterproductive to God’s will which is to share with them the message that The Messiah has in fact come. He was born in Bethlehem, rode in on a donkey, and died on a cross. But He defeated Sin and Death when He had risen from the tomb. A far greater victory than defeating Roman oppression and restoring a nation. As believers we should be praying for Israel. For their protection from the Muslim nations that want to destroy them. For protection from the Wicked that support terrorist groups and cheer the recent slaughter of innocent Israelis. For the Ignorant that have no clue why it is all happening and only get their history lessons from The Voice and its corrupt propaganda. We should be showing them that the messiah that they still wait upon is indeed The Messiah that they have crucified and rejected. He prayed for them with embedded nails and gaping wounds as He gasped for His fleeting breath. He forgave them and loved them so much that they were first to receive The Message of Redemption. Again, He forgave them and loved them despite their rejection under the shadow of The Cross.
Can we not do the same?
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek… but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
-Paul, to The Church in Rome
