There is a war in the streets of America as I write this. It is composed of multiple smaller battles with multiple purposes. And it is nothing short of complicated. The Left and Antifa rage against who they have deemed as “King” Trump. They rage against the current standoff between Democrats and Republicans over a government shutdown. They rage against The National Guard for battling crippling crime that has plagued cities as a cancer because leftist leaders refuse to enforce laws, and law enforcement is taxed. Either by edicts to stand down, or from being defunded. They rage against ICE for arresting The Illegals that have crossed the lines of our borders during the veil of midnight. They rage in the name of “anti-facism”, as they unknowingly act like facists. They rage against that which they do not understand because they are ignorant of how laws and stable societies function. Therefore they embrace Chaos. They rage but know not why they rage. Only because they were told to shake their fists at the sky and scream. Therefore they say things that refute their own argument. Such as calling Trump a “King” and an authoritarian, yet at the same time having the freedom to do so. Such as saying that they want “No Kings”, all the while supporting the powers that locked them down during The Sickness and told them to “Obey, or else…”.

The foundation for this war in the streets is the disobedience of our nation’s law and order. Murders are on the rise, as well as theft and violence. Capitalistic greed is the excuse that we see with shoplifting and looting. Because Man is starving and needs to feed his family. Or maybe it is a punch in the face to corporate America and Capitalism. Who can keep up? These murders are nothing more than “justified vengeance”. Especially if the one committing these atrocities is The Black Man. Because The White Man is on the receiving end and therefore needs to be punished for holding The Black Man down with his White Privilege. Because now is his time to rise. The Illegal crosses the line in the shadows. He has for many decades now. But these actions are excused because he is a “refugee”. He flees the oppression and poverty of South America to seek a better life in America. Entire families. Innocent and running in fear, crying “Help!” as they wade through The Rio Grande. Millions disregard the law of the land. But for the sake of Compassion, the laws must be bent.
However, is this accurate?
The Left, when confronted with these issues before Conservatives and Christians, tend to resort to Christ as their advocate. Ironic, seeing as they know not Jesus, do not believe in (or hate) God, and view The Word as an ancient book of fables. They believe that Jesus, full of Mercy, Love, and Compassion, would excuse the man that steals the loaf of bread from the local bakery (or the iPhone from the local Apple Store, depending on which direction the narrative is being spun) for the sake of feeding his starving children. They believe that Christ would rise up against the oppression of The System (or White Privilege, depending on which direction the narrative is being spun) to tear down the rich, that the poor may eat. They believe that Our Savior would open the borders and allow all of South America into our nation, that they may be safe and prosperous as they start a new life within the “boundaries” of our shores. After all, He too was a refugee according to The Left. Was He not?
“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.”
-The Prophet Samuel
“When they had come, they said to Him, ‘Teacher, we know that You are true, and care about no one; for You do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?’ But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, ‘Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.’ So they brought it. And He said to them, ‘Whose image and inscription is this?’ They said to Him, ‘Caesar’s.’ And Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.’”
-From The Gospel of Mark
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.”
-Paul, to The Church in Rome
The fact is that God asks for obedience over sacrifice. To say “Look Lord! This I do for you!” when it is an affront to His Word is meaningless. Christ told us to render onto Caesar that which is Caesar’s. Even though He was in a discussion about taxes, His point was that we must obey the law of the land, and still obey God. The Apostle Paul had mentioned that we are to obey local ordinances, just as long as they do not cause our separation from our God in both practice and speech. For the things of God take precedence over the things of The Government if they eventually find themselves in conflict.
“You shall not steal.”
-God-

He who steals breaks the law. It is not just the seventh commandment, but at no point in Scripture is it ever revoked. He therefore breaks the law of the land, and the law of God. Most nations have laws against theft. Unless the government is run by The Left, in which case theft is allowed and even applauded. “For how will he eat?”, one may ask. There are organizations, welfare programs, food banks, and churches that help. If he is able bodied then he should be working. For The Bible says that if he does not work, then he does not eat. However, for the most part, this is a myth. Most theft in our day are items that you cannot consume. Electronics. Expensive clothing. And so on. Unless he is selling them and turning a profit. But again, theft crosses the line. It ultimately hurts the profits for businesses and creates an unsafe environment for customers. And not every business is a major corporation.
“And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God (19:33-34). You shall have the same law for the stranger and for one from your own country; for I am the Lord your God (24:22).”
-From The Book of Leviticus
But, The Rage of the day for The Left is the issue of illegal immigration. More specifically, ICE arresting those that have crossed the line in the shadows. The Voice would lead you to believe that they are arresting all immigrants and anyone with brown skin. However, a simple glance into reality would say that this is not so. Our previous administration allowed millions of unvetted immigrants into our nation. Most were young men and not whole families. And many were drug and human traffickers. Many wanted for heinous crimes in their homeland. Many were not even from South America. Some were known terrorists. These are the ones targeted. Now is it possible that they may catch actual migrant citizens as one may catch an unwanted fish in a dragnet? Yes. Are they deporting them? No. Is it possible that they will catch illegal immigrants that have lived here for decades? Yes. However, they have had nothing but opportunity and time to become citizens. There is no excuse for living somewhere for so long illegally. The fact is that we are a nation that welcomes immigrants. Even King Trump has said that they are welcome. However, there is a legal way of doing it through a point of entry. If someone sneaks in over and under fences, that tells everyone that they must remain in the shadows for a reason. Are they wanted? Do they have evil intentions? Why be secretive and hide? Maybe they aren’t as innocent as The Left would have us to believe.
But what about Jesus? The example that The Left uses to justify illegal immigration? Was He not a refugee? First, to be a refugee one must have to flee persecution. There aren’t any genocides taking place in South America. Most of the economies are faulty. A natural consequence of Socialism. People have fled Socialism for decades from various nations and have been welcomed into America. But they came in the legal way and eventually assimilated. The Illegal is breaking our established law by sliding in through the cracks with no intent on becoming a citizen. This in turn allows them to be unknown in our streets. So to say that they are refugees is a myth. They are only fleeing economic oppression, only to come here to enjoy our welfare system. During the earthly ministry of Christ, the populace held their breath as they watched His every move. “Is this now the time?”, they must have thought with every miracle. “Will He now overthrow Rome and restore Israel?”, they must have said in secret each time that He stood face to face with The Elites of His day. However, defeating kingdom and government oppression was not on His list of things to do. His will was to release Man from the oppression of Sin. Living in some form of oppression goes with Life itself. We are all oppressed by something. So to justify The Illegal breaking our laws to escape oppression is not valid. Again, there is a legal option if one is to flee. Unfortunately, many illegals this day do not come here to seek the free life of America, as once was seen generations ago. Many now seek the easy life of welfare. When Jesus, Mary, and Joseph fled Herod’s murderous plot, that was considered seeking refuge by The Left. However, the difference was that God had directed them to seek refuge for the sole purpose of preserving the life of The Christ. He did not direct anyone else to escape the persecution of Herod. Many mothers had to weep. Their tenure in Egypt was meant to be for a season. Until Herod breathed his last. It was not meant to be permanent. It was meant to be a temporary sanctuary. Then they were to return to where they would call “home”.
“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in…”
-Christ Jesus
The question that begs repeating is “Should Compassion allow for one to break the law?”. We find Compassion all throughout the words of The Bible. Mercy and Love as well. However, do we find any instances where God allowed for the law of the land and His laws to be violated? As I had mentioned previously, no. The Redeemed and The Unredeemed are expected to obey the law. No matter how unfair that we perceive them to be. The only exception is when the law of the land conflicts with God’s laws and commandments. For example, the banning of The Christian Faith or a government decree forcing Pastor to marry those of The Alternative. This is because God’s Law is the first and foremost law that should be obeyed by The Believer. Not to mention that, if done correctly and not perverted by corrupt minds, the law of the land should be rooted in God’s Law. This, of course, would negate the notion that Man’s Law would contradict God’s Law. Unfortunately, Man has become so wicked that he even legalizes the murder of the unborn.
“Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard (4:19,20). We ought to obey God rather than men (5:29).”
-Peter, from The Book of Acts

If The Illegal did not hide in the shadows and slither through the cracks, then there would be no need for ICE. At least not on the scale that we are seeing. Biden allowed millions to sneak in, unchecked, for four years. It was an effort so coordinated that The Left had T-shirts made and sent to The Illegals, that they may wear as they crossed the border. Now Law and Order are forced to do damage control. If The Left did not celebrate and justify crime, as well as their perverse version of “Justice” of turning a blind eye, then there would not be a need for The National Guard to assist Law Enforcement that is either inadequate or or told to stand down. Law and Order is now forced to pick up the broken shards of a shattered society and attempt to piece it all together. The roots of the chaos that is happening in our streets is not rooted in King Trump desiring to abuse power. The war is not because our President is a racist Nazi that hungers to capture anyone that is not The White Man, only to confine him to a concentration camp or a ship back to their homeland. No. It is the result of unchecked lawlessness by The Left. It is a result of The System pandering to the vulnerable for the sake of staying in power. A system that strummed the heartstrings of The Useful Idiots. Birthing Compassion, they did. Only they had taken it too far by allowing Disorder in the streets. By sowing Discord among the masses.

And now they rage in ignorance at the solution to the problem that they fashioned with their own hands.
Despite what we may believe, Compassion cannot birth Chaos. Chaos cannot justify Compassion. They are polar opposites. One that allows the breaking of Law for the sake of Compassion only enables the Chaos that ultimately affects someone further down the road. The Man that steals the bread to feed steals the bread from the man that feeds as well.
This is why God’s Law is the perfect design. This is why Man’s Law should agree. Because God is not just a Lord of Compassion, but a Lord of Order. And His design is the reason why a point of entry exists in our nation. Because the point of entry is The Law, and allowing The Illegal through it is the Compassion. May we one day learn the difference. And when and if that day comes, may we learn to respect Law and Order and to not embrace Chaos for the sake of a twisted version of Compassion.
If that day ever comes, then force will not be required for its restoration.
