Dust

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

-Revelation 21:4

In life we have many paths. Many choices. But in the end only two matter.

Fallen we are in a broken world. Drowning in Sin as we try within our own strength to stay afloat. The hands of The World grip us. They arrest our all and imprison us into the chains of said Sin. The Dark Ones tell us that this is right. That this is normal. Blindfolded we are as they tell us what is going on beyond the veil. Whispering sweet nothings into both ears until our minds are engaged into their control. They tell us that we are supposed to be in this state. That Pain and Confusion are the Truth. That Despair and Hopeless are the pillows that we lay our heads upon at night as we yearn for rest. That there is nothing beyond this womb and the life that they feed us. Once the sun sets, Midnight lasts forever.

There is a voice, however, that calls through the dead of night. A Light that pierces the Dark. What if we obey His call?

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”

-The Apostle Peter

That day will come when the final sun set arrives. When our heads lay once more. However, this time it is the forever sleep.

The hands that have locked the chains upon us will be broken. Their forsaken plans will be laid to waste. God forsaken. The sweet nothings will be replaced by screams of agony as they will know that victory has come to taste their defeat. For such sweet whispers by the Dark Ones will no longer be. He has accomplished what He has desired. Something like scales will fall from your eyes. They will bear witness to Glory. Angelic hosts and loved ones welcome you as you cross the divide and join them into eternity. Love and Peace rule here. You will finally have rest from a life set in the confines of a broken world and a broken body. Like one dancing in the warmth of sunshine as the cares of the world are set aside. Is this eternal? Yes, child. Your flesh is no more and it no longer matters. The King is in sight. Feast at His banquet!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

-The Apostle Paul to The Church in Corinth

Maybe for a moment you are able to pull your mind away from this long enough to ask. “How?” and ”Why?” Because the blindfold and distraction had fallen away. Before then you never knew that there was Salvation. You never knew that there was Truth. Another way. The Way. But you listened to those Christians that spoke to you of a man named Jesus. Someone that you were certain until that conversation had never even trod the soil of Jerusalem. The chains that once comforted you fell behind your steps as your eyes opened to the warnings. The pleadings. To you there was birth, then death. In between a battle to struggle to survive in a forsaken land. Finding refuge in temporal fixes. Then there was nothing more. Now you have come alive to something new. Something beyond this wretched place. And there is no turning back. Surrounded by the Grace and Forgiveness of The Savior. No longer in the grip of the burden of Sin’s chains. Comforted now in the presence of praise and worship. The singing has begun. Eternal Life.

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

-The Apostle Paul to The Church in Rome

You had a choice. What seemed so senseless to you now made sense. Faith in an invisible God, made visible by the fine tuned and perfect timing of creation. You understood that Man is created in the image of God. For His purpose. For His glory. By His love. You recognized the one true fact that He is. The evidence that played out right before your eyes. You gave credit to the artistic hand of The Creator. To the masterpiece that surrounds you. And the unforgettable Message that you heard. Now Time has run its course. The blessing is yours.

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

-The Apostle Peter

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God”

-The Apostle Paul to The Church in Ephesus

You made your choice. Dust is where your body once lay.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”

-Jesus, from The Gospel of John
