“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting”
-The Apostle Paul to The Church at Rome
America is in an abusive relationship with her “leaders”. I should say “politicians” because not much of them do any actual leading. They continue with destructive policies or simply do nothing, both of which lead to collapse. Yet so many cannot let go of the letter “D”, or even the “R”. Their self destructive and unwavering voting patterns are a testament to lazy thought. A desire to not be the change that creates a change. Perhaps it is a desire to see this nation implode? Or maybe a hopeless dream that they will finally accomplish something great after being rehired for the fourteenth time? Who knows. However, one thing that can be gathered from our recent election is that our nation is in love with chaos. The Alternative that pushes transgenderism and homosexuality upon our children, The Division that pushes modern day segregation and racism upon our brothers, and The Sickness that controlled a nation in fear so well that it created a fractured economy, put man against man, and destroyed lives, all the while the thread of a rising authoritarian regime stitch shut the mouth of opposition. And if you don’t like it then “Canceled” be thy name! Yet despite this madness, over half of our nation wants to keep those that created the storm in power. Or do they?
“And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.”
-Daniel 2:21

Could it be that the Hand of God is truly at play? Could it be His hand that strums the chords of chaos? Playing a dissonant melody that is slightly out of key? We hear that He “removes and sets up kings”, do we not? Could it be that God is the reason why corruption runs through the political veins of America? Is He to blame for the destructive folding of our country upon itself? The answer is “yes”… and “no”.
There is a great deal of biblical passages that are irrelevant to our present time. For example, we no longer gird up tunics as we go into battle. One of those passages applies to God appointing leaders. Ancient Israel was a theocracy. God appointed leaders, from Saul, to David, and the offspring thereafter. In America, we vote in our leaders (barring that the votes are not influenced by dishonest discrepancies). To say that the results of our elections are strictly by God’s hand is akin to saying that God plants the thought into our minds as to who we will vote for. In other words, if a lifelong republican suddenly votes for a democrat, it is because God directed him to do so. This is absurd because, first of all, that never happens. Second it is to say that God strips us of our free will. To say that God can strip us of such at His choosing begs the question “when does He control us, and when does He not?” This opens up a theological Pandora’s Box that can only be explored on its own for another time.
God’s Hand in our current state of distress is because of His judgment upon America. It isn’t a judgment of His appointment of our wicked leaders. Instead it is a judgment of stepping away from our nation and leaving us to the bed that we have made. Leaving us to choose the wicked winds that will topple this once great and powerful nation. We were once a godly nation, founded by godly and devout Christians that chose a place to live in peace and harmony with the God that they worshipped. Devoid of the corrupt churches that they left behind over the Atlantic. In time, however, a strong foundation will give way if not cared and tended to. Eventually we have become what we have become. A nation that embraces debauchery and hedonistic values. We no longer take a bite from the forbidden fruit, but feast like a sultan. We spit into the face of God in mockery as we parade in the streets waving rainbow flags, splashing in the blood puddles left from the slaughterhouse of the unborn. Practically America gives God a middle finger every hour of the given day. And yet we expect something magical when we say “God bless America”. Like He is, for whatever reason, obligated to give us favor. There is nothing in Scripture that says that we are promised anything. The only thing that resembles a promise is that God said that He will bless the nation that honors him. And we left that behind decades ago.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,”
-Psalm 33:12

God is not an American. America is not Israel. She is a modern day Rome.
What more do we expect? The modern American church is no longer the societal shackles that restrain the Wicked Hand. It is no longer the light that stands against the darkness. No. For she has become an empty shell of her former self. Increasingly, as the clock’s hands tick away, she is becoming more and more accepting of the sins of the day, as she kneels down to kiss this Wicked Hand. Our forefathers of The Faith could not have fathomed the death of sacredness within the sanctuary to make room for more entertaining and worldly sounds. They would have scoffed at the notion that one day holiness would die in the pews in order that men could walk into the church broken, yet leave feeling good about their brokeness in order to not offend the cracks. They would have dubbed thee a blasphemer for suggesting that the day will come that pastors will bow to The Division and The Alternative, allowing the thought of segregated racism and the act of wedding homosexuals to stand before the pulpit. But here we are. The modern god of American Christianity is not the God of the Bible. Full of Justice, Grace, Mercy, and Love. No. Theirs is a weak and pathetic god, full of Love and Love alone. He is crippled and lacks the ability to cast fear into the blackened hearts of broken and sinful men. To them this god is a joke and so are the Christians that flock to worship him full of worldly wonder. Therefore there is nothing to fear. Nothing to stand before in judgment. No one to answer to.
God has no obligation to bless this nation for what it is and what it has become. It has become an insult to Him to invoke his Holy Name in a land that is like modern Sodom and Gomorrah. Because our nation is influenced by such wickedness, then we will choose wicked leaders that will create the wicked change that our wicked hearts desire. This is prevalent not just in some men’s desire to see such evil come to fruition, but to not change one’s voting habits in order to right the ship. It’s either a thirst for destruction, or complacent ignorance in what needs to be done to stop the flame from spreading. Either way we all will fall as one at the hands of sheer stupidity.
Evil has permeated the veins of America. Those that hold within them the goodness of God stand silent. Some even have sided with Evil under the guise of the god of Love. Therefore they choose to let The Light bow in submission to The Darkness. God gives them to their desires.
I once heard a message from Dr. David Jeremiah on the battle of Armageddon. He was translating which nations are mentioned in Scripture to who they are in our current time. He mentioned that America does not stand upon the battlefield, reasoning that she will not have an interest in the bloodshed and will refrain. However, I believe it will be because she will no longer exist.
Pray that I am wrong.
